Pam and Bill Cossaboon started Laurel Tree because they found that the larger chain daycare centers had too little personalization and too much turnover. They wanted to offer a better choice for families…a place where the staff loved children and were actively involved in their growth.

Laurel Tree provides an education curriculum that teaches your child a variety of subjects, including math, science, reading, art and technology, while making learning fun. We offer High Scope® and Handwriting Without Tears® programs designed to make learning easier. Our curriculum is designed to teach your child critical thinking, problem solving, and improved social skills. We have a large natural playground for kids to play on as well.
When the school year is out, ask us about our summer camp programs, designed for children age 3-9 and filled each day with activities and experiences for your child. Our summer camp includes visiting magicians and musicians, swimming lessons, moon bounce and Mr. Softee days, and fun trips to places kids love, including Diggerland, Discovery Museum, Storybook Land and much more…your child will want to return to summer camp every year!
We keep our facility safe at all times. Our doors are always locked, and for anyone to enter, they must use a personalized PIN that we provide each parent. We do, however, encourage parents to visit and sit in our their child’s activities. They must ring the doorbell and present a proper ID. We also conduct monthly fire drills, and have a fully detailed evacuation plan in place.
Laurel Tree is licensed by the state of New Jersey, and we select our teachers and staff based on experience, qualifications, and love of children. Our staff are all carefully screened and required to have a thorough background check, and our teachers are all CPR and first aid certified. Our facility frequently exceeds the standards set by the NJ Department of Children and Families’ Office of Licensing. We have very low turnover, and many of our staff members are longtime employees.
We also help you stay connected with your child through the Brightwheel app – we will keep you posted with photos and communications throughout the day, and you can check in anytime on any device and see your child’s progress. Our daily updates help ensure your peace of mind.
