The Laurel Tree Academy carefully selects all teachers and staff on the basis of educational background, experience, attitude, character and most importantly, the love of children.
Our Head Teacher and Preschool teachers each have a degree in Early Childhood education or a related field, while our other teachers have a combination of formal education and experience. By using selective hiring practices, we ensure our staff stays with us long term, which leads to a consistent and secure relationship for you and your child.
All of our teachers and staff are state certified and are required to complete ongoing professional development each year in the following areas: Child Growth & Development, Positive Guidance & Discipline, and Child Health & Safety, including CPR Certification. In addition to state requirements, The Laurel Tree Academy teachers and staff engage in many hours of research and self-study to ensure their lesson plans are creative, engaging, developmentally appropriate, and FUN.
